On Monday May 8, 2023, H.A.I.T.I.E.N. Chairman & CEO Harold Eustache Sr. was among a group of Haitian diaspora organizations welcoming a high-level Haitian Delegation in New Orleans to meet with the Mayor, the Honorable Latoya Cantrell in celebration of sister city "amitie" and cultural exchanges.

in 2019 Mayor Cantrell signed a sister city agreement with Cap-Haitien, Haiti Mayor Yvrose Pierre to strengthen the already-deep historical and cultural ties between the two cities. After an eventful and productive three-day  visit, all participants felt encouraged, invigorated, and ready for the challenges ahead.
